Christmas 2010

Christmas morning had been just Kerry and I. We both enjoyed the calm.

That afternoon everyone came over, complete with children, a Wii, and food to share. It had been a while since all had been there at the same time. It was wonderful!
A few shots of the Wii playing.
Ben (his Wii). Jesse enjoying himself.

Laura really getting into it. And Jim.
All the crowd enjoyed the show.
We tried to get a good shot of all the grandkids together. Well, we tried!
It got rather funny.
There was the gift opening.
Mary Rose, and McKenzie,
Babies (self explanatory) and Morgan.
Some of the grandchildren weren't interested in the Wii. A number of them don't have TV hooked up at home (parental choice), so myTV becomes a magnet.
After the Wii game was done, the girls and I made some jewelry.
Carla, McKenzie, Tiffany, Morgan, Laura, me, Carla.
Laura and Mary.
Courtney was not at all impressed that Dillon used her as his cuddle bear while he slept.
The evening wasfoggy with a few flurries.
All in all it was a great Christmas!

Boy's Trip 2010

The Boy's Trip this year was to Natural Bridges National Monument (say that three times fast). We went in October and the leaves were beautiful with perfect weather. We saw amazing bridges, cool Native American ruins, and pictographs at a place called Newspaper Rock. The hiking was strenuous but well worth it. It was an all around fun and I dare say educational trip!

Dad, Ben, Jim and Uncle Darris.

Grandpa and Jesse

Jesse and I went hiking in Natural Bridges National Monument. It was hard hiking but lots of fun.

We are going down there.

We met a "friend" along the trail.

Owachomo Bridge

We also saw some Indian ruins, petroglyphs and pictographs.

My granddaughter Kaylie

Kaylie was visiting us and I got this sweet clip.

San Diego

Meri and I went to San Diego. We had a good visit with her sister Michelle, ate too much, stayed up too late, spent to much and had a wonderful time!

First some local color, then on to the Whaley House, reported to be the most haunted house in California. Hmmm, I see "orbs" don't you?

More "local color".

Lunch at the Hotel Del Coronado, then on to an afternoon on the beach!

One afternoon is NOT enough!

A morning tour of the Gas Lamp district, then on a tour of the battleship Midway.

We had some good dinners, and even went to the Escondido Old Car event. I saw the same type of Mustang convertible I learned to drive a standard in, and even a 1969 Road Runner, much like Kerry had when we got married. His was a 1968, but it was close. The weekend was too short, but I treasured every minute.
